The Town of Star Valley has a council/manager form of government. Legislative policy is set by the elected council and administered by the council-appointed Town Manager. The Town of Star Valley is governed by a six council and one mayor board that set policy and directs the Town Manager in setting priorities for the Town. Counil and the Mayor seats are open for election every four years.
There are currently two boards, commissions, or committees approved by the Town Council and ratified by ordinance or resolution. These bodies make recommendations to the Town Council for consideration and approval at Town Council meetings.
